Precise

When comparing all of the Bushnell devices, you will see that many of them have the same kind of technological features. As we progress, however, each model will be an upgrade to the previous version, meaning that you can pinpoint exactly what features are most important to you and decide based on that.
Design
The Tour X has a sleek design to it, and it fits perfectly into your hand. Soft grip edges help you stabilize your shot so that you can get an accurate reading no matter what.
The view screen on this model is a little bigger than the Tour V3, and the magnification is a bit more powerful. The X comes with a 6x lens, meaning that you can see farther and with more clarity.

Moving right along we come to the Pro X7 model. When looking at the different rangefinders on this list, you will notice that this model is different than the others.
Design
The Pro X7 is one of my favorite devices because it has a horizontal layout rather than a vertical one. That means that it’s much easier to hold, especially if you take your time to find the target. Overall, the design and the list of features makes this one of the best rangefinders you can buy.
Performance & Range
As far as performance goes, the Pro X7 is above and beyond what you would expect. The view screen is large enough for most users, and the clarity is sublime.With 7x magnification, you can spot the flag (as well as any other obstacles) without any delay.
The range of the Pro X7 is phenomenal as well. The minimum distance is five yards, but you can scan out for a whole mile and still get an accurate reading. For best results, however, you will want to stick to a range of about 550 yards. To give you an idea of how precise this model is, it measures in half-yard increments.
Technology & warranty
Compared to the other models we’ve seen, the Pro X7 comes with all the usual refinements, included anti-vibration technology as well as the Pinseeker option for finding the flag right away. This model also has a waterproof casing and still comes with Bushnell’s two-year warranty.

The last Bushnell that we will look at (for now) is the Tour Z6. This is something of a variation of the X model, and you will notice that a lot of the features are similar when you compare the two.

This particular model would be comparable to the VPRO500 from TecTecTec, although I find that Nikon products are a bit more durable and reliable.
Nikon 8397 ACULON Features
The ACULON has a range of six yards to 550 yards, which means that you get amazing accuracy all the way out. You don’t have to worry about an “ideal zone” for this rangefinder, which is a nice feature. What I like about this model is that it comes with one-button operation, making it much easier to use than some of the other devices on this list. That even goes for the display, which is about as minimalist as you can get. That, coupled with a high-definition multi-coated lens means that the ACULON is one of the clearest rangefinders that you can buy.
Waterproof
Finally, as with most of these devices, the ACULON comes with waterproof housing and a rainproof covering. So whether you golf in good or bad weather, you should be able to use this device.

Our last Nikon rangefinder is the appropriately named Coolshot 20 GII, the successor of the Coolshot 20. This is a simpler version of the ones that we’ve seen thus far, so if you’re looking for something a bit more cost effective and easy to use, then this might be the right one for you.
Range
When looking at the range of this device, you’ll see that it it improved from 550 yards in the original model now from 6 to 800 yards. The one downside is that over 100 yards you will get 2 yard increment readings as opposed to 1 yard increments under 100 yards, but for most that isn’t a big deal. To that end, the Coolshot has a range of 800 yards, with an ideal range of about 400. That should be more than enough to get you to your next point, or to the flag.
Technology & Magnification
Speaking of the flag, the Coolshot comes with proprietary seeking technology so you can pinpoint the hole with accuracy and precision. It also provides Long Eye Relieft to use with eyeglasses and sunglasses. As far as these devices go, Callaway has made something that is decent, if not overly memorable. Many of the features on this rangefinder are found elsewhere, so what it will really come down to is brand loyalty. So, if you’re a big fan of Callaway and trust the company, then this might be the rangefinder for you.
Performance
The performance of this device is better than some, with a max range of 1000 yards.
However, for best results you have to stay within about 300 yards to be able to use their Pin-Locking Technology on the flag. Unfortunately, this particular model doesn’t come with anti-vibration technology, so if you have shaky hands and outside 300 yards it won’t lock onto your target. When locked in, you’ll get a short vibration to let you know that you’ve locked onto the flag with their pulse confirmation.

What I do like about this rangefinder is that it does lock onto the flag and it has a continuous scanning mode. Also, you can find distances for multiple targets at once easily. I also like that the casing is water and fog resistant, meaning that you should be able to use it freely no matter the weather conditions.
